Do It All!
Selection
Tools – Smart
Object Extraction
At the heart
of KJClipper are its
selection
tools, tools that allow you
to
easily isolate
irregularly shaped objects from photos using both automated edge
finding and advanced area selection methods. The
edge selection tool
works
like the human eye, detecting the subtle differences between image
elements to determine where a cut should be made. If the cut
isn’t exactly where you want it, you can override it with
poly-line mode. The
area
selection tool is like a smart "magic wand";
simply click and drag
through
an area representative of the element you wish to select.
KJClipper expedites
photo
composition,
zone
editing,
montage
editing
and
collage editing.

Easily compose a new
image from the top three original photos.
A more practical example of the utility of good selection
tools might be the following:

Combine the desired
elements of the top two photos into one image.
Scale Objects
– Once an object has been clipped
from a
photo, you can scale it up or down to make it match the scale of the
picture you are moving it to.

Scale a clipped
object.
Color reduction
– Many photos contain up to millions
of colors
which can make the file size too large for website use or e-mail. The
kjClipper Color Reduce option limits the number of colors to 256
(8-bit) and makes the file size of the image smaller without changing
the look of the photo. When you save an object to GIF format color
reduction is automatic.

Color reduction from 24
to 8 bit-depth is often not visible
to the human eye.
Partial
Transparency – Blend two or more image
objects into a composite image.

Compose a new image with
partial transparency.
Adjust Hue,
Saturation and Intensity – Alter the
color attributes of a selected region.

Alter the hue of a
selected blossom.
Perspective
Transform – Think of a clipped object as
an image on
a flat plane. With Perspective, you can grab any corner of the plane
and stretch it in any direction. The resulting image will be stretched
to
reflect the new perspective of the plane.

Change the perspective
of any object.
Rotate Object
– Rotate an object about a center
point. This is easy—just select the object, grab a corner and
rotate.

Rotate any object.
Flip Object
– Two options exist for mirroring or
flipping an object. Flip horizontally or vertically.

Scale and flip an object
about a vertical axis.
Flood Fill
– Select an area with a simple brush
stroke and all similar area color is changed to a new flood fill color.

Select and fill an area
with a single brush stroke.
Flood Fill with
Hue – Select an area and change the
hue or color while retaining the texture.

Change area color while
retaining texture with flood fill.
Blend/Feather
Object – After you clip an object and
place
it on a
different background, there may exist jagged edges or colors remaining
that make the object stand out more than you might like. The Blend
option takes all the edges of an object and blends them with the
background colors. The background may be a solid color like white or
may be other objects. The Blend option smoothes the edges so the object
looks more natural where it is placed.

You can clean the scuff
around the flower and blend it into the
background.
Resample Object
– When you scale an object to a
larger size,
you may see jagged edges along the color lines due to enlarged pixels.
The Resample option will smooth the blockiness by creating new smaller
pixels.

Blocky pixels in upper
inset are smoothed with the Resample option.
Smooth/Sharpen
– Softens or sharpens an image.

Sharpen an image to show
more detail.
Despeckle
– Some images may suffer from "noise". To
remove this, use the Despeckle option.

On the left is a noisy
satellite image. Despeckle suppresses this
effect.
Change Contrast
– You also have the option of
increasing or
decreasing the contrast of an image. Contrast accentuates the
differences in light and dark while Smooth/Sharpen blends colors.

Decrease or increase
contrast.
Pencil Sketch
– The Pencil Sketch simply
converts an
image to black and white and imposes a
“sketch-like” filter.

The pencil feature
provides a black and white sketch.
Paint Effect
– With the paint filter option you can
achieve striking results.

The paint filter
provides an authentic looking rendition.
Convert to Gray
– The Convert to Gray option
removes all
color from an image, replacing colors with shades of
gray.

A zone edit: note that
only the background is transformed to gray.
Text
– The Text tool helps you express yourself creatively.

Because text - once entered - is simply another bitmap object, you can use any and all tools to create your text effects.
